Liv spent many hours reading the story of Katarein and decided there were a few holes in the story, which led her to wonder if she had really gone, or if Katarein traveled to a different area. Her main intention was to study at Unigo which brought her to the Lonely Inn to take residency while she studied. Most of her evenings at the Inn were spent studying books even while in the common room having dinner. Her studios manners served a purpose of looking busy, and trying to stay out of the arms of men.
She always carries a common walking stick covered in rich leather, and hopes one day she will be able to enchant it to help in her spells. Many days wound up with her walking through fields and along the river, because she promised herself to save and buy a home, something picturesque and near the water.
One day she saw a man sitting on a hill overlooking a home in progress being built, and he invited her to sit beside him and talk, explaining what he was building and where everything would be. He had found what she would have chosen, and she admired his taste. If she had gotten there first she would have bought it.
They became friends quickly, and he showed her the property and walked her down to his home which was unfinished. He wasn't crude or like the men she had seen in the Inn, raping and taking what they wanted, but by the looks of him he may have in his past; he seemed experienced, and had a few scars which told he had been in battles.
He appealed to her by his kindness, and she found herself in both his arms and home not long after they met. With no other place to stay than the Inn, he asked her to stay with him. She agreed giving both her virginity and heart, although she still hasn't spoken that out loud to him. He knew he had it, and some things didn't need explaining.
In between her studies, she was asked to help decorate the cottage, which she enjoys doing to this day, plus watching his handicrafts with wood. He was clever enough to provide hot water in the bath house from a hot spring nearby, and she enjoys the luxury of lounging in the bath with him by candlelight.
Her choices of colors to decorate were more suited for him, and she chose dark burgundy and greens, rich deep colors that reminded her of him.
He called the home theirs, and welcomed her home, his name is Darkthorn Starseeker, someone she hopes to spend her life with, learn, and blossom sexually. He has placed his wizard mark upon her lower midriff, and she tends to wear clothing designed to show it off.
When he is gone she practices her magic, hoping to help when needed, but she is a bit reclusive with her choices in spells and the type of magic she wants to learn, still weighing out her options and learning all she can.
The name bestowed upon her by her father, Liv = protector, or life (pronounced Leeve or Liv)
