Tribes and Clans

Here you will find the current records and groupings of the cat people clans our illustrious scribing parties have found. They have travelled far and wide to bring you the information and it helps also for you if you know not of your background, look to yourself and then decide which clan you would fit in.

There are very few in clan or inter clan arguments or rowing nowadays, the only ones to stay clear of is those who worship the dark arts… may the goddess have mercy on their souls when they pass onto the next life.

Scribe Thune of the Fren

This is only a few crumbs of the loaf of information that we have yet to find and work with, as it takes much time to decipher and rewrite the old language… an old art that only a few clans practice these days.

Anyway, the clans are divided into the following sets: Magical, Non Magical, and the Abandoned clan of half-breeds. This clan mainly was set up to stop the lone cats and half-breeds having no-one to represent them, and as such having a recognised clan in the old council, they would have a voice, as many half breeds did not ask to be what they are.

The Magical Clans

(Scribes note: The fact it is called a “magical” clan is that at the moment we do not know the symbol that was used at the beginning of each of the following clans, and it looks very much like the one for “Magic”, but there is a small curl on it that we do not recognise, so this is a generalisation, as no one of the clans we were able to contact know either. Knowing the old scriptwriters this is just a bullet point or marker! But at this time we will not know what it is. Let us hope that we are able to find another key script that will give us more letters and glyphs we can us.)

Non Magical

(Scribes note: Again we grouped the clans together due to the fact the following groups all had the symbol of “no magic” which is why it has its name. There was one problem with this, as the majority of clans do still use their magical abilities, but many just do not wish to flaunt their powers or they do not rely on their magic for everyday uses, only appearing to use it if, and when, it is needed

Abandoned

(Scribes note: Half-breeds. They have always been a sore point with those cat people who believe the race should be kept pure. But this is and can never be upheld as lusts and loves can stray and result in births. This is a shame for the child borne from the parents who break the rules of the race as it is not
them who have to deal with the repercussions of the fact the child has green skin or very thick fur or no fur in some cases. It is the child who innocently takes the punishment and guilt of the parents. Although they are treated harshly some people do in fact give them a chance… and others seek out to destroy them, I leave that to whoever encounters one to behave as they want to, but in my book sympathy is what they deserve… nothing else)
