Dragon Invasion! by auryn{S}  Over the last several weeks an astounding presence of dragons has filled the air and minds of concerned Nanthalions. An infestation that began with the original dragon attack detailed in the previous issue has caused damage to persons and property. The following series of stories details activities of various dragons in the city, both real and fictional.Kitchen Under Seige by Dragon? Nope. by auryn{S} The first appearance of the so-called Kitchen Dragon of the Lonely Inn took place several weeks ago. Exploring noises and a strange amount of smoke leaking from the kitchen door into the common room, a trio of brave Nanthalions explored the strange occurance. Suspiciously small, the dragon was not visable in the volumes of smoke, but made itself known by the demanding of cookies.Escaping the kitchen, the dragon apparently also attacked Ehlanna's slave, sarai, however, clever deduction by this reporter and a definitive giggle quickly solved the mystery of the beast who manifested itself again to demand more cookies. Sarai, the catgirl slave, created smoke and used it as a disguise to trick unsuspecting patrons out of cookies. Her success was debateable and no word has come of any punishments for the misbehaving kitten.Business Woman Dealt Death by Dragon; Resurrected by Soorelen{GS} A dragon has entered our fair town as many know, I have had the chance to Sit down with the lovely Miss Ehlanna and speak to her on this matter and a few others. Miss Ehlanna was not prsent
for the attack to the Inn so she was unclear of the details as I am, noone wishes to speak of it, but be assured Miss Ehlanna has said the Inn is being taken care of and all should still be safe and running smoothly soon.The attack in the forest I was able to get more info from Miss Ehlanna on this attack. It started with Senai, a dark elven fire mage, coming into the Lonely Inn and unleashing a fireball, then running. Miss Ehlanna persued her to collect for damages done when Senai tried to hit the Inn Manager with a fireball and
started a fire in the forest. It seemed to attract the dragon. Senai ran, leaving Miss Ehlanna and a few others there. This upset the dragon more, and because a young knight and ranger were there Miss Ehlanna was unable to move properly to get away from the strike as she tried to protect the two there who should have stayed back. She died from this blast of ice and was taken to Unigo where they tried to bring her life back to everyone and were unable to do such. Thanks to her two slaves Miss Sarai and Miss Icu she was able to pull herself to something to hold onto to come back to us all and perhaps save everyone for needless bloodshed they
can't win.Other Dragon Attacks Other damages attributed to dragon attacks are the destruction of the Healers Guild and the bank. Representatives from the bank insist that all money was kept safe, however it would be wise to stop buy at some point to check the balance of your account. Also, infirmary tents have been set up to take over for the Healers Guild until the building can be rebuilt.
Strange Weather: The Result of Mischievous Mages? by Soorelen{GS}The townsquare was hit by molten lava and devastated recently. Some say it was a spell by earth mages and some say it was natural causes. What is with the weird weather lately? One moment it will be sunny and hot, and the next moment it is hailing and sleeting. Now part of the forest is covered in ice by the dragon who killed Ehlanna. I had time to sit down with two people recently and speak of the events in the town square. What has transpired? The town square was covered with lava. With the work of many trenches were dug with shovels and other equipment loaned by the General Store. This diverted major damage from the shops and guilds along the path.Belson, an earth mage and head guard at the Healers Guild, gave a hostile interview when another townsperson made accusations that he caused the lava flow for personal intent. Belson admitted that a Earth mage with very little talent could do this. The spell is a simple earth spell with no concentration really needed. He said the reason he was being accused of this is because he is one of the most well known Earth mages and a dark Elf, Does Race really Matter? The interview was short and to the point I must say. It's noteable, however, to point out that Belson has been associated with Mayalaya who runs the General Store. Mayalaya stirred up things after the convenient death of Ehlanna by taking over their business.Abriel Roseblade, guard at the Healer's Guild, also gave an interview. He believes as well as many that it wasn't natural, that a earthmage has done it, and he says he is close on the trail of the Earth mage responsible. He would also like to state that the two healers on duty did a tremndous job on healing the injured.Now there is one question left, Did a person cause this and if so why would they go about trying to destroy town for that matter, or was this one of our weird events in our fair town?
Shops and Inn Taken over by Mayalaya by Soorelen{GS}I had the recent honor of Sitting down with my Mistress, Mayalaya, and speak to her on her recent temporary take over of the Weapon Shop, the Naked Bird and the Lonely Inn.The pact came to be long ago with both Mayalaya and Ehlanna deciding what would be in the best intrest of the town There was to be no alternative reason for the pact, such as power or money, simply a desire to take care of the town and StormBringer's businesses. What would happen if Ehlanna was not able to return to take back over? Mayalaya said then she would continue management of the businesses, unless Sir Stormbringer stepped in and made his wishes known to be otherwise. She also said that business will continue as normal. The Inn is being repaired as quickly as possible from Senai's attack, and that anyone taking advantage of this time will be delt with promptly. Additionally, she believes that the bar tenders are takeing to many fringe benefits, such as drinking from the stock while on duty and that it will stop. She will be bring some of her trusted staff and friends in to help manage things, as it is very stressful and time consuming. She stressed the point with me that if anyone tried to take over and attack her for this that she has very powerful friends backing her. Now the question left, can one person take so much responsibilty and power and stay sane? Will all things run smoothly or will there be many bumps and arguements? And will Mayalaya truly hand over power again fully now that Ehlanna has been finally resurrected. Only time itself will give us these answers.

| Guild Newsby Soorelen{GS} BHG Zoltaire has been acting as a tax man for the empire, collecting funds from poverty stricken villages to the east. Sources are unclear whether this is a position actually commissioned by the Emperor. We'll see.(OOC: Interested in running a quest? Please have a look at the rules.)HG Despite the destruction of the Guild Hall, the head of the Guild, Soolana, has been noticeably absent, though not gone completely. Is she busy or sitting in the background.Dakira, an ex-guard of the Guild, has begun attacking healers since he left his position and such has not been seen to by the remaining guards? Is he too strong or is there another reason the healers have been made so vulnerable? In Dakira's words: "The healers are weak. All they do is cause trouble and expect the guards to protect them. And yet they abuse this power as well, thinking they can get away with harrassing the guards. I hate those healers, and the guards seem to wish to protect them. So I destroy them as well. Besides, it's more fun to destroy than protect." GSS The Siren's Call has hired two new employees, Shaeya Asura and Ariellia. The instrument shop is also offering lessons. Contact Kalagoth, Shaeya or Ariella. Prices are 10 mehrials for non-guild members and free for members.The Pack Den is featuring another sale. Pleasure Rockers are now available for 7 mehrials a piece. Adaran, the shop owner, has also begun working with the material 'iron wood' which is expensive but quite desireable.SG The registrar's have diminished in number by one however there is no word on whether a new registrar will be hired.For clarification purposes, Andara, ShaKa and sabina{K} are also able to register new collars and perform removals.Unigo For enchantment modifications, see Zarias, Celia or Lyirae.Letters to the Editor by auryn{S}It is with the sincerest of apologies of the Nanthalion Times editor and staff that this issue was delayed.
